How to distinguish between visible light and invisible light?

We usually divide light into visible light and invisible light, which is actually divided according to whether the human eye can see it. Generally speaking, the visible and invisible light is related to the wavelength of light (or electromagnetic wave, light is electromagnetic wave). The wavelength of electromagnetic waves visible to the human eye ranges from 400 nm to 760 nm, and about 400 nm is purple light. The wavelength of the human eye can not be seen, it is ultraviolet light. The 760nm accessory is red light, the wavelength is larger than this range, and the human eye does not feel it is infrared.
The laser is only a special light source. By changing the cavity length and other structures of the laser, it can emit lasers of various wavelengths, including visible light and invisible light. Commonly, there are red laser, green laser, infrared, ultraviolet and so on.

Visible light:
The wavelength of electromagnetic waves that the average human eye can perceive is between 400 and 760 nm, but some people can perceive electromagnetic waves with wavelengths between about 380 and 780 nm.
