What are the data output methods of the laser range sensor?

1.Digital output type

There are four main forms: USB, RS232, RS485, and wireless transmission. Select the specific digital output type based on the actual communication distance and terrain complexity.

(1) USB output, usually for the first sample ordering, customers will order the usb interface to test conveniently.

(2) RS232 output, generally suitable for short-distance transmission within 10 meters, the ability to resist electromagnetic interference is weak;

(3) RS485 output, suitable for long-distance transmission, generally no more than 1000 meters, strong ability to resist electromagnetic interference;

(4) Wireless output, suitable for complex terrain

Of course, there are also TTL, RS422, ModBus and other output types. This also depends on the application scenario and actual needs to select the required data output type.

2.Analog output type

There are three main forms: analog current 4-20mA, analog voltage 0-5V or analog voltage 0-10V. The output current or voltage changes in real time with distance, and the analog quantity corresponds to the distance value one-to-one. For example, a Laser Ranging Sensor with a measuring range of 0.2-30 meters corresponds to 0.2 meters (200mm) by default when the current output is 4mA, and 20mA corresponds to 30 meters (30000mm). The corresponding relationship between the output current I and the distance L is: L = (I-4) / Δi + 200 (where Δi = (20-4) mA / (30000-200) mm), where the analog start and end points, such as 4mA Or the distance value corresponding to 20mA can also be set by the manufacturer in advance according to user requirements (the user cannot change it by itself), or the interface can be set by the user (requires the use of special setting software).

3.Switching output

This type of product can support two sets of relay switch outputs, corresponding to two preset distance values. When the measurement distance reaches the preset value, the corresponding output terminal is disconnected. Among them, the preset distance value can be preset by the manufacturer according to the user's requirements (the user cannot change it by hims
