Single-point ToF Sensor and Smart Lawn Mower Application_JRT-Measure

Thank you very much to choose JRT. Today we want to introduce you the Smart lawn mower application with single point tof sensor.

Intelligent lawn mowers play an important role on farms, but the mower must first scan the grass boundary. The usual approach is to use ultrasound or radar to repeatedly detect them. The disadvantages of this approach are the high power consumption and high cost, but low accuracy. The single point ToF Sensor can replace the traditional obstacle sensor and accurately acquire obstacle information in real time, realising the advantages of miniaturisation of the module, long distance and wide area detection.

The planning of grass in a smart mower is usually done by manual input, for example by inputting a 4m*5m grass area. At this point the intelligent mower starts to cut the grass itself, at which point the sensor monitors the boundary in real time and can alert at a distance from the boundary. When there is an obstacle within the detection range, the obstacle can be avoided in real time.

The sensor has undergone internal iterative optimisation of optics, structure and algorithms for a more accurate range, greater resistance to optical interference and low power consumption, realising real-time, stable measurement data output and adapting to TTL/RS232/RS485 interfaces. So the single point ToF Laser Range Sensor is ideal, with better recognition of terrain and more advantageous module assembly.
