How to measure the practicability and reliability of lidar for robots?

As a LiDAR mainly used to measure distance, the maximum distance measured by lidar is naturally its core index. Most lidars take the measurement distance as their main index directly. However, in addition to the range, other indicators need to be taken into account:

1. Scanning frequency.

2. Measurement accuracy.

3. Ranging sampling rate.

Higher scanning frequency can ensure that the robot equipped with lidar can achieve faster motion and ensure the quality of map construction. In addition to ranging distance and scanning frequency, measurement resolution and accuracy are equally important for the performance of lidar.
